Sabaton is a heavy metal band from Falun, Sweden formed in 1999. The band‘s main lyrical themes are based on war and historical battles. This is heard in the albums Primo Victoria, Attero Dominatus, Coat of Arms, Carolus Rex and Heroes, in which all of the songs contain these motifs, except final tracks which are tribute songs to influential heavy metal bands. Lyrical content drawn from World War I, World War II and other conflicts is prevalent and includes songs about battles and leaders on all sides of said conflicts.

Ludovico Einaudi live at the Baths of Caracalla
Italian pianist and composer Ludovico Einaudi closed out his „In a Time Lapse“ two-and-ahalf year European tour on the opulent stage of the Baths of Caracalla in Rome. Einaudi‘s performance, which received a standing ovation, was divided into two parts, the first of which saw him accompanied by a choir and guitars, violins and cellos, while in the second half, he took to the piano alone. For his concert in Rome, theTurin musicians put together an eclectic mix of genres, including folk, jazz, classical, pop, and electronica. The audience was visibly transported by the music, with the concert ending in a festive atmosphere as concert-goers clapped in time to the music. Even the usually reserved Einaudi let loose on stage, resulting in a passionate and highly charged performance!
Katzenjammer play Baloise Session
Katzenjammer are an English-language Norwegian band from Oslo, formed in 2005. The band is named after the Katzenjammer Kids, the oldest comic strip continually in syndication.They chose this comic strip because they noticed that they resembled the characters in it. The term Katzenjammer is a German loanword that literally means „lament of a cat“, and is used in Norway to describe low-grade music and instrumentation (which in Germany would be called Katzenmusik – „music by cats“).

Francesco De Gregori is an Italian singer-songwriter. He is popularly known as „Il Principe die cantautori“ („The Prince of the singer-songwriters“), a nickname referring to the elegance of his lyrics. He has also been described by Bob Dylan as „folk Italian hero“. He is often referred as singersongwriter and poet, although he prefers to be identified simply

New Orleans native Trombone Shorty is the bandleader and frontman of Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, a hard-edged funk band that employs hip-hop beats, rock dynamics and improvisation in a jazz tradition. Together, Trombone Shorty and his band have toured the U.S. and Canada, Europe, Australia, Japan, Russia and Brazil. Trombone Shorty toured internationally for the first time at age 12 before joining Lenny Kravitz‘ horn section at the age of 19 for a 105-date world tour in 2005-2006. He performed on the 56th Annual Grammy Awards with Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Mary Lambert, Madonna and Queen Latifah, and at the White House in honor of Black History Month with music royalty such as B.B. King, Mick Jagger, Jeff Beck, Booker T. Jones and Susan Tedeschi.
Candy Dulfer plays Baloise Session
Dutch funk and smooth jazz saxophonist Candy Dulfer has performed and recorded with Prince, Van Morrison, Dave Stewart, and Maceo Parker, and has played live with Alan Parsons, Pink Floyd and Tower of Power. Her debut album, Saxuality, was nominated for a Grammy and sold over half a million copies world-wide. Her song “Lily Was Here” reached No. 11.
Tori Amos plays Baloise Session
The incomparable Tori Amos has sold more than 12 million albums world-wide. As a classically trained musician, she has paved a way for herself as a unique song-writing voice. Her ability to transcend genres with her music can be seen in not only MTV and Video Music Award nominations, but more recently an Echo Classic Award in 2012.
