Tribalistas play Baloise Session
Tribalistas is a Brazilian musical supergroup consisting of Arnaldo Antunes, Marisa Monte and Carlinhos Brown. Their debut collaboration resulted in the popular album Tribalistas, released in Brazil in late 2002 by EMI. The album attained considerable popularity despite the group never performing any song on TV or giving any radio interviews. A DVD release featuring the ‚making of‘ and all the tracks on the album was also released internationally. The song „Já Sei Namorar“ was featured in the video game FIFA Football 2004. In May 2013, it was announced that the three members would release a song called „Joga Arroz“ (Throw Rice), in order to express their support of same-sex marriage, though it was not referred to as a revival of the band. In April 2017, a column of newspaper O Globo announced that the trio had reunited in the previous month to compose new songs.In August of the same year, the band officially announced their reunion and released a new album.

2013 marked the 75th birthday of Lucerne Festival. Additionally, the Lucerne Festival Orchestra celebrates its 10th anniversary, and its founder, Claudio Abbado, celebrates his 80th birthday! Simon Rattle and the Berlin Philharmonic take on a myth with their complete performance of the last three symphonies by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. For the Romantics, these three scores represented Mozart’ legacy to posterity – but for Rattle they signify an interpretive challenge of the first order: “Here human emotions are pushed to the absolute extreme,” he explains. Lucerne Festival: Simon Rattle conducts Stravinsky and Rachmaninov
The Berliner Philharmoniker have been a regular festival guest in Lucerne since 1958 performing much acclaimed concerts every year. In 2014, the orchestra completed their cycle “Moving to Modern Times” under the baton of Sir Simon Rattle with Igor Stravinsky’s “Firebird”, set to gorgeous, scintillatingly colorful ballet music in 1909-10. Simon Rattle and the Berliner Philharmoniker paired this lush score of oriental lyricism with another masterpiece of the Russian late romanticism: Sergei Rachmaninov’s rousing Symphonic Dances, which likewise escorted listeners into a magical realm of fantasy and “made the Russian soul dance, too.” (Der Spiegel) – PROGRAM: Rachmaninov: Symphonic Dances, op. 45; Stravinsky: The Firebird. The cocky, adrenaline-pumped city rapper has long since become a skilled and sophisticated verbal acrobat with his own fashion label. This could also be the result of his failed marriage with former Miss Switzerland Melanie Winiger. Both went their separate ways and the path of Stress led right to the Swiss charts. His albums and singles can be found there on a regular basis. And yet, Stress has kept his sense of insubordination and irony.
