Of the performance, HAUSER says, „While visiting some of Croatia’s most stunning locations for the ‘Alone Together’ series, I had to include one of the country’s most well-known destinations – Dubrovnik. This beautiful city, with its unique location and stunning architecture, has been shaped by events throughout history – it is little wonder why it was chosen as one of the locations for Game of Thrones. I obviously had to include that title theme in the set list!
Beethoven Cycle – Symphony No. 8
Premiered in Vienna in 1814, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 8 is colored by a remarkably joyful atmosphere. Could it have been related to the composer’s recent cure in Teplice (near Prague), where he had become friends with a certain German singer? Composed during the summer just after his Seventh Symphony, the Eighth’s first performance was met with a lukewarm reception. Maestro Karajan and the Berliner Philharmoniker come together here for a masterful performance.
Beethoven Cycle – Symphony No. 1
The Berliner Philharmoniker and the exceptional maestro Herbert von Karajan present a beautiful performance of Beethoven’s First Symphony. Premiered in 1800 at Vienna’s Burgtheater, the work is dedicated to one of the composer’s first protectors, the Baron van Swieten. Just 30 years old at the time of the symphony’s composition, the young Beethoven’s work shows the influence of both his admiration for Mozart and his studies with Haydn.

Sometimes referred to as UTRB, the band was founded in Cardiff, Britain in 2012 initially as Winfield’s solo project and “blends genres like electronic, pop, rock, and hip-hop, but it’s all done with a sharp alternative edge.”

In four (two) creatively composed episodes provided with clips from Jefferson Airplane, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, The Rolling Stones, Cat Stevens, Led Zeppelin and many other legendary artists of that time, the documentary deals with the central topics of this unique phenomenon in pop history: The Summer of Love. The sexual liberation and the search for new, spiritual ways were most important for an attitude towards life that established its own event- and party culture for the first time in history. The documentary is based on interviews with vocalists like Donovan, Art Garfunkel, Adam Green, Bob Marley, Yoko Ono and Michelle Philipps from „The Mamas & The Papas”. As a leitmotif we pose the question of actuality of the cultural achievements in which the hippies succeeded.
