Born in 1999 in Biel, Nemo has been playing the violin, piano and drums since they were a small child. Their career began when they released two EPs – through which 7 songs made it directly onto the official Swiss Singles Chart. 2020 marked the beginning of a period of change for Nemo, when they started writing and producing for other artists, and also started releasing songs in English. In their music, Nemo deals with themes such as gender identity, mental health and finding one‘s place in this world – and The Code specifically tells the story of their experience of coming to terms with their non-binary identity. Nemo’s triumph in Malmö is Switzerland’s third win at the Eurovision Song Contest to date.

American singer Ray Dalton started his music career when he was lifted into the Top 40 by hip-hop joining Macklemore & Ryan Lewis on their single “Can’t Hold Us.” Coming from a multicultural background that reveals itself into his music, Ray Dalton’s path to success has been marked by multiple accolades, including MTV Video Music Awards. Over the years, he has released several singles that have resonated with a wide audience, such as ”So Emotional”, ”Don’t Make Me Miss You,” “Melody,” and “Manila” in 2021. His single “The Best Is Yet To Come” in 2022 further showcased his evolution as an artist and prepared the ground for the release of his debut album “Thee Unknown”, coming out in September 2024.

The singer, songwriter and guitarist was the frontman of the former German band “Reamonn” and is also known to a wide audience as a coach on the singing casting show “The Voice of Germany”. With millions of albums sold worldwide, almost billion streams, numerous awards and honours (including the Echo and Bambi awards), sold-out tours and weeks of top chart positions, Rea Garvey is one of Germany’s most successful artists. Not least his TV appearances as a regular coach on “The Voice of Germany” and “The Masked Singer” have made him an audience favourite. The Baloise Sessions are on the tour schedule for his HALO Tour this fall, with his greatest hits.
Robert Plant and Saving Grace featuring Suzi Dian play Baloise Session
Legend of rock Robert Plant has been leading Led Zeppelin, one of the most important bands of rock’s history, from the year the band was born until 1980, when the group broke up. Recognized by Rolling Stones as “one of the best singers of all times”, Robert Plant presents Saving Grace, the 2019-born ensemble featuring Suzi Dian. Since the beginning of the project, the artists have received numerous acclaims for their live shows. Each performance is approached with gratitude, skill, and celebration: they are indeed a group that brings happiness and the audience of Baloise Session has to be ready to witness a legendary evening.

Since 1989, Therapy? has been a staple of the UK‘s alternative rock and metal scene, with their home base in Northern Ireland. Celebrat ing their 30th anniversary in 2020, the band released a greatest hits album, and we can‘t wait to hear those hits live at W:O:A 2022.

But we don‘t want to reduce them to that, because they are much more than that: Their music reminds of traditional hard rock á la Kiss, Accept or Alice Cooper. In addition, there are electronic elements that help Lordi to their independent and distinctive sound.
