Elisa plays Baloise Session

Elisa is an Italian singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and music producer. During her 25 year career span, she has accumulated countless Platinum Records and a Diamond Record, and has collaborated, among others, with great artists such as Luciano Pavarotti, Ennio Morricone, Tina Turner, Andrea Bocelli, Dolores O‘Riordan and Imagine Dragons. Over the years Elisa has received all the main awards in her homeland : the Sanremo Festival in 2001 with the song „Luce (Tramonti a Nord Est)“, the Targa Tenco, 2 Lunezia Awards, 15 Italian Wind Music Awards, the Festivalbar, the Silver Ribbon; as well as an MTV Europe Music Award and a Television Direction Award. Her voice has enchanted directors such as Quentin Tarantino and Tim Burton who wanted her for the soundtrack of their films („Django Unchained“ and „Dumbo“ by Disney). Gregory Porter plays Baloise Session

Known for his warm baritone vocals, Gregory Porter rose to acclaim in the 2010s with his earthy, cross-pollinated brand of jazz, soul, and gospel. A gifted singer of standards as well as more contemporary soul material, Porter has earned favorable comparisons to his idols Nat King Cole, Donny Hathaway, and Stevie Wonder. He announced his arrival by picking up a Grammy nomination for his 2010 debut, Water. Jan Delay & Disko No. 1 play Baloise Session

There are few musicians in the German pop landscape who can boast a career as rich in surprises as Jan Delay. Jan Delay draws on five decades of (black) pop history, but plays just in the here and now. In him are Daft Punk and Drake, Burna Boy and Steff lon Don, Sly & Robbie and Meek Mill. Jan Delay and his terrific band play with Disco, Trap, Funk , Afrobeats, Ska, Arenatechno, Reggea, Rock , Soul …. as only free spirits like Jan Delay & Disko No.1 can do.

London-based emerging artist Kings Elliot is one to keep an eye on. She has received praise from Consequence, Teen Vogue, Billboard, Clash, Wonderland, The Line of Best Fit, COLORS, and Lyrical Lemonade, among others, and social support from Reese Witherspoon, Dixie D‘Amelio, Lewis Capaldi, and Milky Chance. Her music has been added to a number of Spotify and Apple Music playlists.

Kodaline play Baloise Session

Kodaline are an Irish rock band, originating from Dublin, Ireland. Their music style is often cited as belonging to the indie genre. Formed in 2005 under the name 21 Demands, the band changed their name in 2011 to Kodaline and soon after started to gain in popularity and fame as their star grew brighter and brighter. They transformed from an unsigned, unknown band to one of the most popular indie bands today, eventually signing with RCA records. Their first albums received great critical acclaim and resulted in enormous success for the band in the indie scene. From their debut EP, the single ‘All I Want’ was selected as BBC Radio 1s record of the week, allowing the relatively unknown band some great exposure. It also featured in Grey’s Anatomy, garnering the band even more exposure. Their second album contained recurring singles from the first as well as many new tracks such as ‘One Day’, ‘Brand New Day’ and ‘After the Fall’. Their songs have been used extensively on television, as background tracks to The Vampire Diaries and The Fault in Our Stars, to name but a few. Potentially the most popular track the band has produced to date is their hit single ‘High Hopes’. A new album will be released in October 22.

Lewis Capaldi plays Baloise Session

Lewis Capaldi is a Scottish singer and songwriter. On May 16, 2017, he released his first song Bruises. The song was played almost 28 million times worldwide on Spotify in a short period of time. Shortly after, he was signed by Virgin Records and Capitol Records and released his first EP Bloom on October 20, 2017 in collaboration with Grammy Award-winning producer Malay. In the first half of 2018, he completed a tour of North America and Europe. The year 2019 began with Capaldi receiving praise from seemingly every critic from every corner of the world. With a record-breaking 6 completely sold out headline tours in less than 2 years, his rise is simply unprecedented. From humble beginnings filling pubs just 24 months ago, to headlining arena tours that sold out in seconds. There is no better introduction to his debut album than the worldwide #1 hit single „Someone You Loved,“ which spent 7 weeks at #1 in the UK and shook the charts at every turn. The album rocketed to #1 where it has now spent no less than 10 weeks at the top of the UK album chart and is well on its way to becoming the longest running top 10 album in UK history. Veronica Fusaro plays Baloise Session

In 2016 Veronica Fusaro released her self-produced EP “Lost In Thought” and surprised the Swiss music industry by winning the “Demo of the Year” at the M4Music-Festival. She was then awarded “Best Talent” by the national radio station SRF3 and was nominated for the Swiss Music Awards 2017. She then presented her music at various Swiss festivals (Gurtenfestival, Moon&Stars, Rock Oz’Arènes etc.) and performed at international conferences such as Musexpo in Los Angeles, ILMC in London and Reeperbahn Festival Hamburg.

Lo & Leduc play Baloise Session

Hip Hop has now overtaken all other genres in the pop firmament. Yet this genre also has different facets. We bring acclaimed and particularly appealing wordsmiths to the BALOISE SESSION stage: superstars who rap in dialect. Lo & Leduc from Bern are purveyors of intelligent, astute and absurd texts. Their beats are wittily peppered with funk and jazz. In the 2015 Swiss Music Awards, Lo & Leduc were the performers with the most nominations (Best Group, Best Live Act and Best Talent). They won the award in all three categories, the second group to get all three in one year.
