Synopsis

At the beginning of the Corona pandemic, Sam Ryder started posting video clips of himself interpreting songs by other artists on the Internet. He quickly became a star on TikTok, where he has over 12 million followers. Then, earlier this year, the BBC contacted him and offered to make him the UK Eurovision Song Contest representative for 2022. „In the UK, a lot of artists are cautious. A lot of people I know love Eurovision. But there‘s a fear that you‘re risking something by going. But with me, the enthusiasm is bigger than my fear,“ said Sam Ryder. He reached a sensational 2nd place with his song Space Man.
