Odeonsplatz Concert 2025: Franz-Welser Möst & Daniil Trifonov

Synopsis

The first Klassik am Odeonsplatz event took place 25 years ago. Since then, the two open air events have been a permanent fixture in the heart of the otherwise bustling state capital. This year too, every one of the 7,000 seats on Saturday and Sunday evening had been sold out for several months. In this concert, Daniil Trifonov is the soloist on Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No. 3 in C major, op. 26. To complete the program, a masterpiece by Richard Strauss: Suite from Der Rosenkavalier, Op. 59.
